ABSTRACT
The focus of this research was to look at the relationship between supervision and teachers effectiveness in some selected private secondary schools in Alimosho Education District in Lagos State. Sixteen Private Secondary Schools were used out of one hundred and sixteen schools, hypotheses focusing on supervision and teacher’s effectiveness, supervision and teachers effectiveness on students learning performance, supervision and learning performance of students in school were posed. The instrument used in the study is questionnaire designed by the researcher and validated by the researcher’s supervisor. The researcher went to the school involved and administered the questionnaire to the teachers. At the end of the study, the investigation revealed that there was a high level of relationship between supervision and teachers effectiveness. It also revealed that when teachers are properly monitored, the best is gotten from them and thus influences the students learning performance. As a result the researcher made some recommendations to the teachers, Administrator and the Government.
